Welcome! My name is Emma Tello, and I am a Master’s student in the Mental Health Counseling program at Cornerstone University. Currently, I am honored to serve as a clinical intern here at the Trauma and Attachment Center of West Michigan.
My path to counseling is shaped by a unique blend of professional experience and deep community advocacy. Alongside my counseling journey, I manage a career in accounting and IT, an 8+ year background that sharpens my analytical thinking, grounding, and understanding of the unique stresses of the corporate world. Parallel to this, I care deeply about supporting our local community; I have spent years walking alongside survivors of domestic violence, human trafficking, and sexual assault right here in West Michigan, and I currently serve on the board of a local nonprofit focused on helping survivors thrive.
In the therapy room, you are the expert on your own life. My approach is deeply person-centered, strengths-based, and trauma-informed. This means we will work as a team, focusing on your innate strengths while pulling the best techniques from various therapy models to fit your unique journey. I look forward to meeting you where you are and walking with you toward healing.
