She practices under the supervision of a licensed clinician at the Trauma & Attachment Center, bringing compassion and curiosity to her therapeutic work.
Ruth also trained at the Seattle School of Theology and Psychology, with a focus on facilitating therapy groups to process developmental trauma. Before transitioning to counseling, she spent over 25 years working as a social worker, teacher, and school leader. She continues to teach parenting classes in her local community and holds training as a spiritual director. Over the years, Ruth has also provided coaching and support to survivors of domestic violence as they navigated the journey of leaving abusive relationships.
Her therapeutic approach is rooted in person‑centered, trauma‑informed care. She is especially passionate about working with women, children, and LGBQ+ youth, supporting their healing journeys in a safe, affirming, and relational way.
